Let us hereunder address your
Personality, request what the object of which repeats in emphasis: « Request for urgent assistance of school supply to orphaned and displaced children in the city of Goma »
Indeed, we are a non-profit association under Congolese law called « Tonde Tonde Asbl DRC » having the head office in the City of Goma, North Kivu Province, Democratic Republic of Congo.
We intervene in the fields of: education, child protection, food security: agropastoral, health, fight against gender-based violence SVBG and Abuse of Sexual Exploitation SEA.
As part of making our modest urgent contribution of assistance in school supply to the orphaned children we supervise and those who are in the Don Bosco accommodation site in the city of Goma, we come to ask you for support either « a notebook, a pen, a pencil, a latte or a briefcase » for this school year that begins this month of September 2023.
After our descent on the ground, to reassure us of how these children will resume school classes, we reassured ourselves that these children do not have enough to start their school year in terms of school supply. Thus, in our habits Tonde Tonde Asbl DRC, as we did this month of August in the city of Bukavu, we also want to move on to this same exercise in the city of Goma in order to assist these many children that we supervise in Goma North Kivu.
In the hope of a favourable response to this request, we kindly ask you to accept, the most humanitarian expression of our feelings.

Background and rationale for The activity
It has been more than a year since the city of Goma welcomed different social strata from the territories: Masisi, Rutshuru and Nyiragongo, these populations fleeing their homes because of an unjust war imposed on us by our neighbors and whose whole world knows its consequences of human rights violence and the precariousness of humanitarian chaos today in the East of the DRC. Since their installations in the city of Goma, these populations are constantly reviewing various support from certain international and national organizations and people of good will, but this assistance remains almost insufficient because it does not meet all the criteria of a human being’s life. Thus, we the national organizations, we sensitize several bodies, churches, youth groups and choirs and families to assist these people with our modest means and we call on several other people to join us for the well-being of our fellow citizens traveling in the city of Goma.
For this month of September 2023, TONDE TONDE Asbl DRC being very close to these many children who roam the street in different corners of the city of Goma and Bukavu, proposes to accompany them through social reintegration and formal and non-formal education, working with other organizations with orphanages and reception centers, We reintegrate these children and accompany them for their schooling. For the exercise of the 2023-2024 school year, before launching a request for school support, TONDE TONDE Asbl RDC launches a call for contributions to the entire population to assist these children benefiting from its activities in school kit.
